Dr. Rydell has been in the field of autism and communication disorders for over 26 years in public school, hospital, university, private practice settings, and administration. Dr. Rydell is the owner and director of Rocky Mountain Autism Center (RMAC) in Lakewood, Colorado, a private practice dedicated to working with children with autism spectrum disorders and similar disabilities. Dr. Rydell's doctorate and master's degrees were earned in the field of communication disorders and special education, with a primary program emphasis in autism and early childhood education. Dr. Rydell is a co-author of the SCERTS® Model and a Fulbright Senior Specialist Grant Recipient (2005). He has co-authored five book chapters and numerous research articles in autism and unconventional verbal behaviors, and frequently speaks at international, national, state conferences on topics related to autism.
